Accessibility Statement
We're committed to making golfpaupack.com usable by everyone, including people with disabilities.
Paupack Hills Golf Course is committed to making golfpaupack.com accessible to all visitors, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone should be able to find information about our course, book a tee time, and engage with our club regardless of how they use the web.
1. Conformance Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
2. Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the standard. We are actively working to identify and fix those areas.
3. Measures We Take
To support accessibility, we have implemented the following on golfpaupack.com:
- Semantic HTML markup so screen readers and assistive technologies can interpret page structure
- Full keyboard navigation — every interactive element can be reached and operated without a mouse
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background, meeting or exceeding WCAG AA contrast ratios
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images
- Clear, descriptive link text (no "click here")
- Visible focus indicators on links, buttons, and form fields
- Form labels associated with their inputs
- ARIA attributes where appropriate to clarify the role and state of custom interface elements
- A responsive design that works at a range of screen sizes and zoom levels
- Captions or transcripts for video content, where video is used
4. Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas that may not yet meet WCAG 2.1 AA in full:
- Older content. Some blog posts or photographs uploaded before this statement was published may have missing or incomplete alternative text. We review and update older content as it is identified.
- PDF documents. Some downloadable PDFs (such as scorecards or printed forms) may not be fully tagged for screen readers. If you need an accessible version of a specific document, please contact us using the information in Section 7 and we will provide one.
- Third-party content. Certain features rely on third-party services (for example, payment forms or embedded content). We work with vendors that prioritize accessibility, but we do not control their code directly.
5. Assessment Method
We assess the accessibility of golfpaupack.com through:
- Self-evaluation by our development team
- Automated testing tools (such as axe and Lighthouse) run during development and before releases
- Manual keyboard and screen reader testing on key user flows, including tee time booking
We have not yet engaged a third-party accessibility auditor. As the site grows, we plan to add formal external review.
6. Feedback
If you encounter any accessibility barrier on golfpaupack.com, or if you need information on the Site provided in an alternative format, please let us know. We welcome your feedback and take it seriously.
When you contact us, please include:
- The page URL where you experienced the issue
